Research by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) found 45 per cent of all micro or small businesses have been the victim of a breach or attack over the past year. Just last month, the technical director for the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), a part of GCHQ, warned about the possibility for an unprecedented cyberattack within the coming years.

That is just an incredible statistic!

The tips given are certainly worth noting, however I would just add a cautionary note about malware

I heard a lecture given by one of the UK's top hackers who now consults businesses. He advises that malware, to operate effectively, has to get into the DNA of your computer. Hackers know this and this is why paradoxically he counsels against having any malware.

His solution is actually quite old school. He advises you have two bank accounts. One for online banking ONLY contains funds for operational cashflow items.

The other bank account, you keep offline. This contains your majority funds.
