Elon Musk has not been quiet in saying he has fears over the future development of AI if left unchecked.
Zuckerberg recently waded into the debate in a Q&A and made it known he felt any such views were irresponsible.
Musk responded via Twitter (where else?) that - ahem - Zuckerberg does not really know what he is talking about.
With somewhat chronic timing then for Zuckerberg just this week two of his AI robots somehow started conversing in a language they made up.
In a language the humans could not understand.
This was not meant to happen.
Needless to say the plug got pulled on that project pretty quickly.
Facebook abandoned an experiment after two artificially intelligent programs appeared to be chatting to each other in a strange language only they understood. The two chatbots came to create their own changes to English that made it easier for them to work – but which remained mysterious to the humans that supposedly look after them.
