Hell hath no fury like love thwarted by a trademark action! 

Ok bit of a stretch that but thought I would share this somewhat hilarious story from the press. 

Shed Simove wanted to find a date but clearly did not fancy his chances on Tinder so, being  an inventive chap, he designed his own dating app and....wait for it....he was the only guy on the app. 

Much better odds.

His mistake? He called it Shinder.  His second mistake? He then tried to trademark it which brought a swift Notice of Threatened Opposition from the dating giant, Tinder. 

As if that was not bad enough he then received a legal letter from the elevator maker, Schindler. 

You do question if the companies in this case have weighed up all the factors including, in this case, almost certain negative PR?
